As our esteemed leader decides to put together a plan to send us to Mars, I have a few thoughts. First of all sign me up, and secondly the American people need to have a rough skin. People are going to die in exploration. I thought for a while after the last space shuttle disaster how many people died exploring via a boat. And when they did not come back did we have ceremonies and memorials for them. Know in no way am I trying to minimize what these people did, but I wonder if we could create a memorial for all of those who had explored, sort of like the tomb of the unknown soldier idea, to thank all of those who have come before us. I mean after all there is a little bit of Amerigo Vespuci in all of us.
