No Class

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2004 Look, I am not a huge supporter of our military but I do stand by them. This is what the real problem is. Men and women to some extent being men and women. There is no reason to humiliate them, there is no reason to stoop to the levels of terrorists. No wonder why we are hated so much around so many different parts of the world. Its one thing to do it, but in today's society I guess we have to prove to people that we have done something so stupid. I guess in our army they don't teach people about dealing with others and class, they just assume because we are fighting a war its okay to treat peolple like crap. I for one am not ammused, how would they like it if this is what happened to them if they were captured, and granted I hope it never happens to any of them, or us ever again.

Incompetence, not just a word a way of life

It amazes me, every single day as I go to the store, or to the pharmacist how much incompetence exists in this world today. Weather its a doctor, co-worker or friend we all know someone who is incompetent. I guess it is human nature to have flaws, to have accident but at least if we were competent you would think that things would work out for the best. Some people say Jon Kerry, and George Bush are both incompetent. I don't disagree with either of them being incompetent, but to me the word really symbolizes something deeper then that. That is individual thought. Now I may ruffle some feathers but those who do not think, listen and create an opinion for and of themselves are truly incompetent. These are the footsoldiers of life. The one's who don't go out and vote. The one's who are reckless with not only their lives but who would take a life.

Blogging Blues

I haven't blogged in a few days, its not that I haven't wanted to blog or nothing has been going on, it just hasn't hit me. The past few days the computer has felt like a foreign element. I love my 2 computers, Work and Home. Okay maybe love is to strong of a word for a machine that i can sit on endlessly, but lately I have been watching the rain fall, mowing the lawn, yelling at the dogs which both love to dig in our back yard.

As for things, Amb and I atteneded a wedding. Something like 7 more to go before October is over, throw in a couple bachelor parties, and a couple of trips for some bacehlor parties and this summer will be the summer of being poor. The nice thing is some of them are out of state so to speak, so that means a fun evening in a hotel with my beautiful wife.

Life is funny and fickle, and I guess I make myself funny and fickle sometimes all by myself. Not sure why just feel like I am in a funk.

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2004 - CONTROVERSY OVER SHOWING IRAQ CASUALTIES INTENSIFIES

Re-Instate the Draft???

Yahoo! News - Senator says US may need compulsory service to boost Iraq force

This is it. Moving to Canada may not be the worst thing in the world. But I just don't get this. In this day and age with the way technology works and the way people volunteer. I thought this country was based upon a volunteer army. I can tell you this much I wouldn't be to happy if my son or daughter got drafted. If it was made to be that mandatory service was necessary I may not have a problem with that. But to think that they are considering random drafts. There is just something unnerving about this. Its not like in Israel where everybody serves. My fear is that to many good young people will fight in wars that they may not believe in. This country was built on choice, and if someone chooses not to fight they should not be jailed or criticized.

Weekend Wrapup

Wow what a weekend. We drank, and drank, played some golf, went over to wish a buddy a very happy birthday, drank some more. Finally Amber and D came and made sure we got home safely. As for the golfing it was a complete success. We played at green pond golf course and had a fantastic time. It took us close to 5 hours to play 18 but it was the quality play. We got my best man in my wedding out on the course for the first time and he seemed to dig it. We completed that and played wiffleball. I have not played wiffle ball in like forever. I don't think I have ever won in wiffleball since I was a tennis player and a baseball bat always seemed to little. Anyhow, we played some beer pong, and drank even more fired up the grille. By now it was only about 8PM, which is all good. So we head over to a friend who was having a party drank some more. All in all it was a weekend fest of about 12 hours of straight drinking beer games and more. I have not done this in a long time, and I feel pretty good about it. It amazes me to think back and wonder how much alcohol 6 of us could drink. We went through 4 30 Packs for 5 of us over the weekend. Anyhow it was a great weekend. Now tomorrow AM back to work. Which i am pretty pumped for considering the crappy way my work week ended. Getting back from the city on friday was a nightmare. I got on the wrong train heading back from the city, so it took me forever to get home which sucked, because it didn't leave me much preparation time for the company coming, but it all worked out.

Every body wang chung tonight

So the title of the blog has nothing to do with anything its just in my head. I feel bad, I woke up my wife when i started my day at about 523 AM. I love my job, i really do but getting to the city by 8am is no small feet for me. I am no means in life a morning person. As a matter of fact I am very tired right now so maybe today I am not a day person either. As for the weekend golfing with some friends is on the agenda. Thats right boys and girls board up your windows. The hacker is coming backer. Don't drive to close to the golf course because you never know if it will go right or left or on accasion straight down the pipe.

Besides by the friends and the golf, a few brews, some Devils Flyers, listen to my college friends bicker about the Sox Yanks, (is there really something to bicker about, we all know the redsox suck)

So thats the donut on this end.

Sinus Infections, Headaches, Gas and Hockey

This week has really been crazy and I can honestly say the weekend can't come soon enough. Well the first topic. Sinus Infections. I am sick of them. This is my third one in a little less then a year so they gave me a drug called Zithromax. The amazing thing about this is my doctor knows that i don't swallow pills. So he is just like get it down. So i use my pill crusher throw it in a little Ice cream and suck it down. Still stinks if you ask me. As for the headaches, they come and go quickly but again its associated with the sinus infections.

Lately I have less gas in my car and more gas you know where i am talking about. Its been bad though. Thank god the majority of my co-workers decided to work from home this week.

As for another headache the hockey season. Went out with a good buddy of mine last night and we watched the devils game. Hey I am a proud devils fan, and If they lose there is no shame. We won the cup last year. We have played a ton of games in the last 4 years and some years just aren't yours. Granted I haven't given up yet on this series because things happen. Just like the great Jimmy V said "Don't give up, Don't ever give up"

Blood, Is it worth it.
CNN.com - Sorority women told to lie to give blood - Apr 13, 2004 How far has it gone in this country. Makes me think as to where this hole lie bit started. Did it start with president clinton or did he really just make the problem worse by giving a little lie. I mean lying has been around since people have been people so to speak. And we always seem to diffentiate in this country by saying that one lie is harmelss and another lie is not. Now i understand that to sometimes not hurt someone is very important but you can just not speak the truth. But to boost your blood numbers cmon now.

Tuesday,

Well tuesday is always the day that seems to be grey and gross. As for me, I am looking forward to the weekend already. Some of the guys from home and from the ole college are hopefully coming down to play some golf and hang out and have a good time. Haven't had a beer in a few weeks. THis is also the weekend that I was supposed to go to a bachelor party and a birthday party but I will not be able to do some those last 2 items. I feel bad but such is life i guess. To busy for my own good these days. With basketball, the hockey playoffs, work that has become very very busy, and to say the most important item taking care of my wife and my dogs. I mean someone should figure out a way to either make days become 48 hours and only 15 days in a month. This way they could schedule it so you have more free time. Oh well back to work, looking forward to a day of conference calls and madness.

Why Officiating in Sports Sucks!

Okay, I know I am a devils fan and my team lost last night. But its not just in the NHL, its the NBA, and even in the NFL. No matter what team i root for they always get the crappiest calls. I mean my dog can do a fricken better job. It just pisses me off so much because it always goes against me. Reffering isn't an exact science i understand but rules are rules. When you leave your feet to hit someone in hockey its a penalty. A slash is a slash, there are no different levels of a slash. Its like lets not call that one he didn't break his stick. Just call the damn games.

And as for you flyers fans you have nothing today to cheer about. You have won 1 game. Thats right 1 game. And even if some miracles do happen and you do beat the devils, you still have not proven anything. You lift that silver trophy lately. You get the opportunity to name your dog stanley. You have any reason to celebrate except for the fact that you cheap shot the entire league and your owner is an "Ass" who believes he knows whats best.

Yahoo! News - World's crossroads Times Square celebrates centenary

When i worked in the city i walked thru times square many a times. But I never ever thought to myself Gee how old are you times square. NYC while large, and unpredictable the City and I have never really seen Eye to Eye. THe city that never sleeps, also never stays awake long enough to realize that it may have gone to sleep. That probably makes no sense, but in reality it does in my mind. As for when I was a child and all the peep shows were out and about, that what I remember the most. I mean whats a city without a few peep shows from street to street!!

10 Years ago Today.

It was April 5, 1994, I was in Room 36112 at Roger Williams University. I remember it being calm and myself having a bad headache. It was probably a little after 2PM in the afternoon when the phone had rang. Well it was my buddy darren. Darren had called to tell me that Kurt Cobain had past. I had always been one to say that Nirvana was so much better then Pearl Jam. And that Nirvana would last a lifetime, while pearl jam was overrated, etc. But that's not what the story is truly about. Everything I hear a Nirvana song (most of them) it takes me back to my youth a bit. It allows me to be young again. As I near my 30th birthday on this first night of Passover I know what's truly important to me. My wife, my dogs, my family, etc. Kurt Cobain was a great musician, and I appreciate his music bringing back some great times at least for 3 or 4 minutes.

BIG GULP.

I need one, and I need it now. There are so many uses for a Big Gulp from Sleven (7-11). I mean its the perfect watering can if you don't have one. In college we even used a big gulp to unclog a toilet, (Don't ask). These things give you more bang for a buck than almost everything in a dollar store. I mean, where in the world can you get that many ounces of soda. To make matters worse I can't even go get one because the car is in service.

Haaaaa Chooo!!

Have you ever had the person in class or at work who sneezes so hard that everyone stops and gots can't he quiet down about that. Well sometimes it just happens, but in college there was this girl who would go YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I mean you could hear it down the hall or in the next lecture hall. Everyone sneezes but sometimes its just to damn loud. (please note, i sneeze, rather loud sometimes, and it bothers me and the people around me)
