Superbugs, The Flu, etc

What is with the news. Know as most of you know i read the Drudge Report but it seems all of the media is concentrating on health issues. On this website alone their are 2 articles on health. Staph infections and what they are doing to regulary healthy people and how a skin infection can essentially kill you. This time of year its easy to scrape your hand with the skin being so dry. And then their is this out of Asia. It seems like a bit on the crazy side, but why do I have this fear that this year could be a crazy Flu year. And then from the medical world their is Merck whose Vioxx seems to have greater risks then rewards.

So much in this world to worry about, so much. Here is to health happiness, and safety. (visualize me chugging doctor peppa)

I always miss the Ramboxiousness happennings in the mornings:

Well as it seems the wifey had a fun morning. Evidently the Stan big guy went a little haywire this morning. According the wife's account he decided that he would eat some banana's. Well he at the hole banana's two of them. But the best part of the hole story is what he did after he ate the banana's. He ate a hole pack of breath mints. I mean what in the world is better then as a dog eating food and then washing it down with some breathsavers.

Well not much to say,

It is tuesday. It seems as if its just one of thoes days. Nothing has stirred emotion in me to let some steem off. I will talk about the cluster fuck that traffic has been. It just has been a nightmare. Do people forget how to drive in the rain. I mean even the stairs and the people who walk in them in my office seemed a bit slow today. Its just fricken water people. Its not like you scrub slower when you are in the shower then when you do the dishes.

Brown Outs, Weddings, Holidays

Well lets start with a few minutes a go. Brown out, half of the lights on and most of them at half warp speed.

As for the rest of the weekend, Jewish Holiday of Yum Kippur and a wedding on the same day. It was a fun wedding. Its the wifey's co-worker and I don't believe they come from alot of money. It was definatly one of the nicer services and receptions I have been to, and I have been to many this year. The wife and I were speaking of the weddings and only 1 more to go. Then it was loose stool city at the moms. Their is everything for Yum Kipper breakfast so that was all good. Well I need to get some zzz's.

Speculation

Heinz Kerry helps Democrats raise $1M at Phoenix event - 2004-09-23 - The Business Journal of Phoenix

Allright, I have to say something, Teresa Hines Kerry is a smartmouthed unamerican speculator. When in a public position lets talk about the facts and talk about your husbands vision. This woman needs to shut her mouth and just stand by her husband. She alos needs to start thinking before she speaks. I have learned in my life its much easier to speak and sound intelligent when you can back things up with facts. What she should have said if she loves america it will be a great day and a great victory for this country when we finally Get Osoma Bin Laden put him in a large building and fly planes into it. Or worse have him eaten by a large black bear and telelvise it on Pay Per view.

This could sound like Complaining

Allright here goes. Lets see in the past week (not including today) i have probably spent 24 hours on the phone. That is more then half then the total week. I seriously am starting to believe that the phone might be permanently connected to my ear. Well, I am happy to report that if the day goes as planned I will only have 3 hours of phone time.

Well to those of you who are jewish have a happy and safe fast.

Tuesday - Ta Da!!

Not sure why the ta da. But 2 years ago the wifey and I Got Engaged. See it was a long time coming but well worth the wait. So tonight to celebrate (she is much bigger into important memorable dates then I am) we are just going out to grab a bite to eat. I think both of us are still a touch fatigued from the lack of power of the weekend and then the randomniss of life sometimes.

On the good side I have 45 more days of vitamins. Just picked up some more and I am hopeful that my energy level will come back up. Nothing to exciting to report today, its been a quiet 2 days since the electricty issue, and please take a look at the pictures if you don't believe me.

Caution, Power isn't necessary, or is it.

Okay, the weekend seemed like it could be quiet enough. The wife and I had planned to go down to the seafood festival, until Ivan and the remnants of Ivan came for a visit. Well, the weekend started off on a good note with the puppies getting great reviews at the vet. The two pups are at the ideal weight, we got home, I started to call to see if the seafood festival was on the wifey, she went to get some blood work done and to the gym. Then bang, not just bang, a bang and some yells, "Get out of the road" and then another bang. See this, this, and this, finally this. All I can say is that it was a mess, of wires and a mess of electricity, and a small fire. But all is well in the land that now has electricity.

Goodbye Great Sport

Well today is the day. At 245 PM their is a press conference that the NHL will lock out its players and possibly the entire NHL Season will be ruined. Well I have threatened to leave my love of this sport, but I am not so sure that this will happen. I love the sport of Hockey and the escape that it gives me from the troubles of the world. I wonder with the upcoming year what I will do with 5 nights a week not taken up by the sport that has consumed me.

With this hockey story it just gets back to the point of my title, "Go have another donut you fat pig." To me this has many meanings, yes it was in a famous hockey game, but it says alot about our culture in this country. How every one is looking to get fat and not looking at the little guy and the effects of such a sport have on everday life.

Speaking of sports I finally caught the 9-innings from ground zero movie and I was moved. I thought the movie was going to be tacky but I must say it was tastefully done. In this day and age where stress can rain supreme sports is one way to escape from everyday reminders of horror and terrorirsm, well I guess I will have to deal with a bit more reality this winter.

I'm Back!!

So their was a few day Hiatus in their. Lets see. Attended the 9-11 wedding and it was a fantastic fun time. I even wore a American Flag Tie to remember the day. (the wifey and I bought it at fanual hall in boston.) Had a great time in Boston with the wifey and some friends. Spent alot of time in the car, but I realized that I may have reached my long distance driving limit. For the first time ever I was to tired to drive. Driving back on the second leg of the trip from Albany to Jersey I was to tired to go on. So I asked the wife to drive and she hates driving the Jeep. So she did and she drove with the dogs the final 100 miles. Welll 640 miles from Thursday Night thru Sunday. Not bad not great, I need an oil change stat.

The pictures,

Well I think we might have taken the pictures of the "Before" with the regular camera, so hopefully I will have them up soon enough. Anyway the after pictures are here, please note, everything was white, and disorganized greatly for almost 3 years, it was just our table, no curtains, dog paws on our walls and alot of mail on table, we both promise that their will be no mail or stuff on the table and it will be used for eating (we hope.)

Labor Day weekend,

Well, its sunday night on the three day weekend. The un-official end of summer. So what did I do this weekend. Well painted our dining room, the ceiling and walls, molding, and re-arranged our setup a bit upstairs and downstairs. We finally put curtains up and redid the molding around our sliding glass door, and moved down a relatively old piece of storage furntiure. So Hopefully I will have a before and after pitcher, but we like it and thats all that matters.

As for sunday went out to see the nephews and sister and I can tell you the weather wasn't great so the kids were moody. We went to the beach out on Long Island, and once we stopped throwing the football (I was out of breath) the kid turned moody and wanted to go home. But both kids are good. n

Well its sunday, and tomorrow should be a nice relaxing day of yardwork and seeing a few folks.

I Wish

I wish for many things in life, so i figured i would share a few of them with all of you.

I wish that someday I will make enough money so my wife can be a stay at home mom.

I wish that one day all people no matter race, creed, color or sexual orientation will be allowed to make their own decisions and not be told what is right or wrong by others

I wish that the people I care for most will be happy and healthy

I wish that my enemies will stop fighting and start listening

I wish I could by Debby and Shawn Castles

One more note, a verry happy birthday to this guy who has been away with his wife in our nations capitol, and has been a great friend for longer then I can imagine.

o fI'm Ludvig II, the Swan King of Bavaria!

You are Ludwig II, the Swan King of Bavaria!
Born with the name of Otto, you became Ludwig at the request of your grandfather, King Ludwig I, because you were born on his birthday. You became Crown Prince at the tender age of 3, and soon after stole a purse from a shop on the basis that everything in Bavaria belonged to you. Tragedy struck when your pet tortoise was taken away; relatives thought the six-year-old prince was too attached to it. Your childhood was lonely and formal. Once, you were prevented from beheading your younger brother by the timeous arrival of a court official. From the age of 14 you suffered from hallucinations.

Despite striking an imposing figure with your great height and good looks, your speeches were pompous to the point of incomprehensibility. You became even more of a recluse, often spending hours reading poetry in a seashell-shaped boat in your electrically-illuminated underground grotto.

You are most famous for building three fairytale castles - Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Herrenchiemsee - at tremendous public expense. Declared insane and confined to your bedroom by concerned (and embarrassed) subjects, you escaped on 13 June 1886, but were later found drowned with your physician in Lake Stamberg in mysterious circumstances.

The Heart of the Matter

Well the wifey and I hit newark last night. Hit the NJPAC. Neither of us had ever been to the location for an event, and kudo's for Newark for putting up one beautiful but extremely warm facility. Anyhow the openning act. The opening act was Jill Sobule, Jill was hysterical. She had funny songs about Kathy Lee Gifford about the Gay Agenda, etc. Not sure why but I really enjoyed her stuff. She started out by coming on stage, and then saying "I am not don henly" sorry to dissapoint. My favorite Jill Sobule Moment was that she mentioned Eli Manning in one of her songs, i am believing hte song was called "Jet Pack."

Now the main Event Mr. Don Henley. He was good, but he wasn't as good as the last few times I have seen him. He played a good mix of the Eagles, and His own stuff. Their are people who go to the concert just to hear the eagles stuff. While I do appreciate the eagles and were a great band, I truly go to see Don Henlye. The thing with last night's concert and Don Henley was that people were on edge. Their were people yelling "Bush Sucks" or "4 More Years" after and during every song. This crowd seemed at odds with itself. The one thing that non of them realized no matter how different their political views are they were there to hear the music. The music was great. He played his staples like "Sunset Grille, All She wants to Do is Dance, The end of the Innocence, and a hole slew of others. The concert was good but not great.

While in college I wrote a Paper on Don Henley. This was after he had written the End of the Innocence. His songs just have such beauty and grace. They really gleam over every facit of our society but it doens't tell you what is write or wrong. I belive he understands Entreupenaurs and their hardships they face every day. Maybe a touch later I will post Lyrics to Don Henley's Song "a Month of Sundays"
