What a Weekend!

Well, we're back to the daily grind, but it was one fantastic weekend!

Saturday started with the Pam Miller 5K in Rockaway.... Ari and I ran it, and we had an amazing time. Pam Miller was a girl who lived in our community who passed away at age 17 in her high school gym class from an undetected heart condition. She was a competitive runner until her junior year of high school, so now they hold this event in her honor and to raise money for a scholarship fund in her name. This is the second year they have done it, and there were around 600 people there - it was awesome! We got to run all through our small town of Rockaway - down Church Street (where all the bells on all of the churches were ringing), through a bunch of residential streets, down and around Main Street, and around Parks Lake. I was really in the groove for about 3/4 of it, but managed to run every last step of it. I made it to the finish line in around 32 minutes (Ari finished in just under 40), but we were proud of ourselves.

That afternoon, we went to the Chester Craft Show with our friends and their son. It was a gorgeous day, and we just had a great time walking around the town, catching up (and buying some lovely things for the home, of course). We went out to dinner, and then spent about an hour waiting in line at Denville Dairy for some ice cream.

Sunday should have been a day of rest, but it really was a day of catching up. I was up at 6:30 - went to the store, the car wash, ran some errands and had lunch at Moe's with Ari, did some shopping, cleaned the house top to bottom, made dinner, and just spent a few minutes of relaxation time together. I felt so productive!

I just feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and friends... such a rich life.
