A sad day...

Got some bad news today. Turns out that DirecTV finally learned that we moved and switched all of our locals from NYC to upstate NY channels. Not that I have anything against upstate NY channels per se, but I have a confession to make. I am addicted to the WB11 morning news. Wholly, totally and utterly addicted.

I don't know how it started - all of the other stations were so stuffy, and when the WB11 stopped running Full House reruns in the morning and debuted a morning news show, I began tuning in and I was hooked. Yeah, our relationship has been filled with ups and downs, like when Lynda Lopez left her post as entertainment reporter for bigger and better things, and when Lynn White was replaced by the annoying Suki (she just disappeared one day!). But overall, each of these people held a special place in my heart.

John Mueller and his (really nice!) hair, Sukie and her annoying laugh (I loved screaming at her to shut up - totally made my mornings), Linda Church and her willingness to join the Crunch instructors to show us the new aerobics moves, Jill Nicolini and her morning traffic reports (did you know that she once posed for Playboy?), Emily Francis on entertainment (occasionally had the adorable Booker - of KROCK fame - as a sub), Larry Huff riding roller coasters and horses, and Julie Chang, who let us watch her search for a new apartment.

So, everyone put some Michael Bolton on the stereo (yeah, I know you have othe CD!) and sing along with me...

"I could hardly believe it, when I heard the news today...
I had to come and get it straight from you.
Hubby said you were leaving, DirecTV took you away...
And from the look upon his face, I see it's true.

So tell me all about it, tell me 'bout the stories you're planning...ohhh...
Tell me one thing more before you go.

Tell me, how am I supposed to live without you?
Now that I've been lovin you so long?
How am I supposed to live without you?
And how am I supposed to carry on?
When the WB11 morning news is no longer on?"

Okay, I feel better now.
