Koran Scholar: US will cease to exist in 2007

Listen, I have nothing against the teaching of the Koran, nothing against islam, but this might be taking it a bit to far. So we have been called infadels, horrible americans, etc. I am just sick of all this, why in the world would they circulate this shit thru their schools, why oh why wouldn't they try to build a better world. Take a hint and get a clue about the passion of life and how important it is to learn from one another and trust one another. This world is. Then their is the hole splitting of the moon and the end of the world in islam. I jsut wonder, i mean I guess if you make enough predictions maybe one of them will come true. Well, either way I hope none of them come true, and can't we talk about peace and love and understanding, just might make the world a better place for the time we are here before it comes to an end.

Morris commuters surprised average drive is 28 minutes

Surprised, I am fricken shocked. I drive. 22.6 miles one way to work, their are some days a good day when it takes 30 minutes. Most days thats a pipe dream. I tend to leave work early and it still takes me closer to 35 to 40 minutes. The thing that business haven't figure out is how to go more suburbia so it doesn't take their employees hours to get to work.

Happy Birthday to Her

Well today was the day. My Wifey, she is trying to catch up to me in terms of age but she knows that will never happen (Granted she is smarter then me), anyhow i have been trying to get her to write more in her space on the net. Well today was her birthday. Not sure why but she seems a bit down, as I was talking about a possible work opportunity, and she has been looking for a new opportunity in the Albany area (because we really wanna move).

Somehow, these clowns even purchased some cards and a wee gift. So we went out ot eat for her bithday at one of our favorite resturantes, it was good, she had the crabbycakes and I had peel and eat shrip thats really good and spicey. As for the rest of the evening, she just ran to CVS to get our prescriptions filled, she does the store version and I do the mailorder version. Its all good. Well I wanted to wish her a happy birthday.

Whats up with all the breaks???

I have noticed that many people are taking a hiatus or thinking of it?? Am I missing something. THeir is this one who almost always makes you laugh and realize that we should be having a good time. Their is this one whose better half is almost done with law school, and i am assuming is fighting allergies. Then their are some others like this one with her newborn and writing assignments that you cna almost understand.

Well who knows, just hope that you all come back rejuvinated because if people are reading my stuff then we all just might be in trouble.

The Majority and should it be that way,

I have been doing a lot of thinking about the right to live, or the right to die, and what is the Moral Majority. Now most people would say that the moral majority is the majority of the people who have the same beliefs, but yet again that doesn't always make them right. It seems their is this misconception that the moral majority believe that what is happening to terry schiavo is wrong. I would suggest this entire notion is wrong. Most people would look at most of the facts and say Terri Schiavo has been in a very very sad state for 15 years. That her husband (Michael) had tried his damnedest in the first 7 to 8 years of Terri's state that he took he took her to California for treatments. When does he get to move on with his life, what is fair isn't always fair, but we can all agree on one thing, we are lucky enough to think for ourselves and voice our own opinions and not feel the need to be part of the morale majority.

Back on the road, back from the rode,

All these holidays alot of time is spent in the car, this holiday was spent with ass farting dogs. Yup, either the big or the little ones ass smelled so bad, i think at 30 it may have stunted my growth a little, not 100% sure but you never ever know.

The eastah weekend was spent with the inlaws up in Upstate NY, its strange upstate NY is known for its sonw and they have less then we do. Well just proves what a crazy winter it has been. Well here is to the week ahead.

Fact or Fiction,

Webster defines a fact as the following: 1 : a thing done: as a obsolete : FEAT b : CRIME c archaic : ACTION
2 archaic : PERFORMANCE, DOING
3 : the quality of being actual : ACTUALITY
4 a : something that has actual existence b : an actual occurrence
5 : a piece of information presented as having objective reality
- in fact : in truth

I guess my question is this, if said someone believes something was a fact no matter what the topic, even though they believe the occurnce happened or their is a hint of evidence even if they believe its wrong is it still a fact???

You say this is springtime,

SOmeone sent me this, I did not write this. I know some of you dislike president bush, but just think for a moment, about whats said below, if you like it use it in your own blog or send it in an email.

Things that make you think........
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during January....

In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in January.

That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following

FDR...led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.

From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman...finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us.

From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy. ..started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson...turned Vietnam into a quagmire.

From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us.

He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled

al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chapaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!

The Military morale is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

Wait, there's more.......................

JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR

Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty mpressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what
they do for a living.

This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program.

It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a veteran's hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job!
You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and Orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job.

You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags. You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job?

I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose - and a love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible.

I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"

For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA.

Now he's a Senator!

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English thank a Veteran. It might not be a bad idea to keep this circulating.

Terry Schiavo, The Goverment, and the Vatican.

This may sound ungreatful, unfunful, and mostly aggrivation. I am tired of the goverment budding their noses where it doesn't belong. I am tired of the vatican telling people what they believe is right, when they don't speak for all of us. I want to start hearing from the people of this country in what they think is right and wrong. We elect all these representatives and congressmen and senators and what do they do? Do they really listen to us, the people the good folk going out living paycheck to paycheck paying to much for a tank of gas? I am tired of the government budding their noses in sports and Sterioids. (why do they spend time on this). Why can we get congress to go on a special task for one woman yet their is not healthcare for every american (the much larger issue)? Why are republicans and democrats constantly crying that one or th eother did this and did that instead of finding common ground to work with? Why in the world is their no hockey going on right now? Why oh why??

Anyhow Now that I got that out of the way. Our backyard is so muddy its disgusting.

My Order in this universe is definatly secure.

I learned this weekend that I certainly do have power. Its either power or just a skewed view of the word. See the wifey and I have friends, (I know a shocker friends) I will call them friends A and friend B. Friend A and B are both Married. Anyhow, they let us in on a little secret that they were expecting a baby. Well thats great the reason they gave us for them having said baby is and I Quote. "Well its your fault if you had a superbowl party this would never have happened." So we all started laughing about it, then I wondered, how many people have I helped or stopped having kids (probably not that many). I mean I guess I have had an effect on life that I never deemed possible, but its still all good, as I said in the title, My order in the universe is now secure.

Turn and Cough

Don't you just love hte yearly physical. Turn and cough. THe funny part about this is this doctor asked me the same question 100 times in different ways. Its crazy how he asked the same thing. We were talking about my thyroid, my tiredness, and he kept on hapring is your life hard. Hell no, I have a great life, a positive attitiude stop looking for a sign of depression, even if I was ever depressed drugs aren't for me. He even said, do you know that their are underlying signs of depression that don't ever come to the surface that can cause problems like fatigue, etc.

Oh well, I am just damming hte man, going back to living my life one happy day at a time.

Have you ever gone to College???

ESPN.com: Page 2 : Fountain of youth Jim Caple the author of the column linked to above is expereincing college as he says it in the Modern age. Over the next 3 weeks he will be a college student again. Drinking, studying, working on a school paper. This got me to thinking, if I could go back to college and do it all over again would I change anything. My answer is simply no way. I loved my college life, my roommates, and everything about college. I wasn't the smartest, the best dresser, the best looking, but I can guarentee you I had more fun then anyone. I had my friends from home visit me from time to time and they blended in, which made it all the more merrier.

One thing from the article stood out to me, Jim's following Line "That's the thing about college roommates, though. They could never remember their long-distance calls when the phone bill arrived a month later, but they stay with you decades after the stench of sour milk and rotten vegetables finally dissipates from the communal refrigerator."

For the most part I speak to my college rommates on a regular basis, some more then others. They are all characters in so many different ways and for those of you who ever get a chance to meet them you probably would think they were rude, crude or socially untolerable. But thats whats so much fun about them.

Excersize and Food

Excersize
Okay the title has nothing to do with anything. Thank goodness the stiffness in the neck has finally gone away, even though it was a pretty insane weekend. The wife and I actually bought a piece of training equpment after putting it together which took some time, and also getting it in the house which was also a challenge. Anyhow I hope to do this machine 3 or 4 times a week and hope to get myself into much better shape. The nice thing about is it doesn't feel like I am really working my ass off, as I have done this 2 times this week.

Supersize me, the food part
So the wifey and I finally got around to watching Supersize me. I must say the movie was interesting, and we do have an obesity problem a very large obesity problem. I think the larger question i why the movie points out problem with the fast food industry it doesn't delve into the larger question of how to make it better. How to make life a bit of a de-stresser, how to find more time in life to have the family balance type item. These are the issues which really effect obesity and continue to effect the way the American Family lives life. Somewhere along the line something has got to give. Americans can't continue to work 60 70 hour work weeks, eat healthy raise families, have fun, etc. Not sure what will give someday, but something well. Well enough to ponder in this last post, hope that everyone had a great weekend, as here in the Northeast spring i sjust around the corner.

See, I woke up this morning, and for some reason I had a stiff neck and shoulder thing going on. Matter ah fact its still their, lasted all day. Not sure if its a portion of the wife not feeling well or my neck just got stiff overnight. Its all good in the end, and I am sure after a good night sleep I will feel better tomorrow. What a long week it has been thats for sure.

5 More Months:

What is in 5 months. Well in about 5 months the NFL will be back in action. Yes it will only be preseason but the regular season will be oh so close. I have gone a little stir crazy in "the Winter of my discontent." This hole no Hockey thing hasn't made me a better person its made me a crazy person. I look at my life, its great, but that passion and that fire that normally burns and keeps my house warm with jumping up and down is missing. Here I thought my heating bills went up because oil prices have gone up. Not necessarily, its because of the no NHL. So the magic number for me and football is 5 months. Thats less then half a year. So excited, so damn excited.

Religion and My Synical Mind

I was doing my daily blog reads when I started reading Misguided Affections and I made the following comment about religion based upon the quiz that was being offerred.

"For some reason, mine told me I was an Idiot and my religion couldn't be found. Actually I have thought about creating my own religion, just call it DOG." See, I can be the class clown in the back of the class always looking to get a laugh, most of the time I am not that funny, but one who always garner to get people to laugh. My views on religion tend to be differnt then most. I believe that most people in this world want the basic thing. To be treated like equals, no matter race, creed color, number of legs, etc.

My belief on this religion bit starts with dog. I say it all the time that dog spellled backwards = god. I say this all the time that dog = god backwards is a coincidence I think not. Well if I were to create a religion, it would be that we treat dogs as well as we treat any other animal. These specimans, large, small, drooly non drooly truly do offer all of us some of the abilities of life. Most people who have dogs live longer. Babies who are brought up in a house of 2 or more dogs at birth tend not to suffer from allergies. Not sure how i got onto this post. I guess life teaches us little about life, but dogs can teach us the most wonderful things at any age. How to learn a new trick, how to sleep. All the basics of life these fine creatures teach us. Its just that not many of us really look that deep into it.

Well I am curious, what are some of your views on religion.

MSNBC - Fat Actress on a slimming crusade

The wife and I are both interested in seeing the "Fat Actress" show this evening. Not sure if it will be funny rediculous or as I have been thinking American. I mean what isn't american about people getting second chances, or people being in the news because of their weight. I mean we have FIT TV on VH1. We have all these weight loss programs but I wonder is it helping people lose weight. Or are we just laughing at people with weight problems as some of it is funny. Or is it the way we americans deal with it. By laughing????

Just some toughts off the top of my head.

Why Do I get this feeling,

I was doing my normal type of daily things when I started reading the newspaper. Well the online papers. Anyhow i read the article that said that the 3-11 bombers also had plans for Grand Central Station. Now, I don't go thru their more then once a month, but something about the story kind of hit my nerve. Is it the fact that miy NYC Location is at Grand Central, or is it because 9-11 and 3-11 are just to real and to easy. I have sat on many a train to the city and can tell you that no checks my bags. Security?? What Security???

NOt sure why but i get the feel that people are evil, and evil is what evil is. But i guess this is where the dilemna is. Every person gives the impression or view of evils in their own words. Are we all evil, or just simple screwed up. Or are the good people of the world so few and far between, or are we all possible of doing the unthikable, and killing others. Not so sure, not even sure why i am talking about this today, it wasn't a bad day. Well questions to ponder from me.

local6.com - - Teens Leaping For Thrills In 'Garage Jumping' Trend

Do kids not have enough to do these days. I mean jumping building to building. What in the world of playing in traffic is going on these days. I mean when I was a kid "Mom I'm Bored" go play in traffic. But I mean i thought kids had issues with to much video games, etc. But these kids evidently don't have that problem.
