Smile!
(The only picture of Harrison that was taken today.)
I am the first to admit that I am addicted to documenting every minute of Harrison's life in pictures. (Can you blame me? The kid is cute!)
Anyway... when he was born, we received a million coupons for different photo places. I have been taking him to get his picture taken each month - not only can I get professional photos for a great price and see him grow month-by-month, but I can also figure out the places that I really like, and the ones that I will skip in the future.
So, Hubby and I took the little one to have his five-month photo taken today. I called the photo place last week and made an appointment for 12:30 pm.
Now, knowing how busy these places get, we decided to get there a few minutes early, so we would be ready for our appointment. So, we get to the store (which shall remain nameless, but may rhyme with "Smallmart") and there are already two couples waiting ahead of us. We're standing there for a few minutes, and I said to Hubby, "Wow, tne studio looks pretty dark."
Yeah, that was because nobody was there. The place opened at 12:00 and as of 12:20, there were no employees in the portrait studio. So, we find a manager, who proceeds to call the studio manager and the district manager (unfortunately, since it is a leased department, there is not much else that he could do). Both the store manager and the district manager said that some guy named "Richard" was supposed to be there, and someone would make it to the studio within 15 minutes.
By 1:30, there was still no sign of any portrait studio employees, so we went home.
Now I have to make another appointment (at a different place, of course) and go through the whold process all over again.
Just want to send a big thank you out to "Richard." Thanks for not bothering to show up at your job, and for wasting an hour of our time on the weekend. With both of us working, weekends are very important to us and we want to make the most of every minute. Ugh.
(P.S. - Hubby called the company that owns the portrait studio today, and they are having the district manager call him back tomorrow. We'll keep you posted...)
