Weekend in review

What a weekend! We had a full house - our friends Marie, Dan and Andrew flew in from VA, and our friend Huxy drove up from NJ for the weekend.

Saturday was so much fun... after everyone got into town, we went out to lunch and then over to the park.

Harrison spent the first part of the trip to the park fast asleep...

But once he woke up, he loved the swings.

After we went to the park, we went strawberry picking! Although Harrison didn't love the tractor, he liked picking strawberries.

And today was Harrison's baptism. The ceremony was nice, and we had about 40 friends and family members over to the house for lunch afterwards. It was fun, but we are exhausted!

Best part of the baptism? Following the ceremony, the priest came up to Ari and said, "Sorry for all of that Christianity stuff." Too funny.

Anyway, here's one last photo - hope that everyone had a great weekend!

Checking in...

Sorry that I have been MIA lately... things have just been crazy around here. I was sick for most of last week, we have been busy with home improvements and getting ready for Harrison's baptism next week, and work has been hell (as always). Plus, I have been extemely busy watching "Army Wives" - seriously, does that show rock, or what?

But I just wanted to take some time to wish my beloved hubby a very happy Father's Day. He is such a wonderful father to Harrison, and to Daisy and Stanley too. I hope that he had a wonderful day. and that he knows how much he is loved by all of us.

Blah.

Haven't been feeling much like myself lately. So, in lieu of another whiny post, here are some pictures! Yay!

"There's never enough time!"*

So maybe I've been a major slacker when it comes to blogging, but I have been a slacker in nearly every facet of my life lately, so what else is new? Some examples:

*I haven't gone to the grocery store in close to two weeks. Thankfully, we bought a big box of granola bars at Sam's Club last time we went - that's what I ate for breakfast and lunch almost every day this week. Last night's dinner was waffles - it was the only thing left in the house.

*I haven't worked out in two weeks, unless you count walking around the neighborhood.

*I have two laundry baskets full of clean clothes in the bedroom - and no desire to actually put them away.

*I finally dropped off my drycleaning that has been sitting in my car for a month.

*I desperately need to go to the post office for some stamps and to mail a new baby and first birthday gift.

Going back to work full time has thrown me for a loop. I love my job, but it is very stressful and very demanding, and there are days when I feel sick just thinking about it and the time I miss with my baby.

I have always been passionate about my career, but I think that I would give it up in a heartbeat for the opportunity to stay home with the little guy. Chalk it out to the fact I am just overtired and stressed out - the grass is always greener, right?

Speaking about work (and a desire to end this post on a positive note)... since I am still nursing my little one, I have to pump twice a day at work. I work for a rather small company, so I should be thankful that I even have a private place to pump - and I am. It's a small, windowless room with a desk and two chairs, but it does the trick. The funny thing? There are only two people in the company who utilize the room - me and some guy who uses it for his afternoon prayers. So it has been coined the "Pump and Pray" room by one of my coworkers. Hee.
