Three weeks.

Happy three-week birthday, baby Elijah! Things are good with our little guy - nursing is going well and he actually slept for almost five consecutive hours last night! (Of course, this was after two hours of uncontrollable crying - on his part, not mine - but we will ignore that...)

The home health nurse came by on Friday to check on the two of us - Elijah is already up to 9 pounds, 8 ounces! He looks like he is following in big brother Harrison's footsteps, at least in terms of weight gain (H was 9 pounds, 11 ounces at his home checkup). Diaper rash has subsided, belly button stump fell off on Friday, and we are finally at the stage where we have some awake times during the day.

We are slowly getting accustomed to being a family of four. Harrison loves his little brother - always wanting to touch him and tickle his toes, which is cute. I was playing on the floor with Harrison while holding Elijah yesterday, and Harrison sat down on my lap and said, "Mommy has two boys!" Oh, it was so cute!

I can't believe that I have already burned through 25% of my maternity leave - time goes by so fast. I went into the doctor for my two week checkup around a week ago - while everything went well, I was not cleared to drive until after my six-week checkup. In fact, I am not even supposed to be sitting in a car until then, unless I have to. Last time, I could drive after two weeks, so I am going a little stir-crazy just sitting in the house. Plus, there is so much that I want to do during my maternity leave and the weather is finally nice... it just stinks.

Anyway, I had been waiting to publish this until I had some new pictures to share, but I still need to upload them, so I will add a few later...
