Ari and Amber 2-Day

Awesome!

My weekend rocked.

Especially when I woke up at 2:30 Saturday morning with whatever killer stomach bug that has been going around. Sleeping on the bathroom floor when you are 34 weeks pregnant? Not so comfy. Seriously, I thought that I was either going to a) go into labor, or b) die.

No carnival for me and Harrison on Saturday. No shopping/lunch date with my mom on Sunday.

Instead, I was quarantined to my bedroom all day Saturday, as my mother-in-law and sister-in-law came to visit and I didn't want to spread my germs. Made one trip downstairs all day (while everyone was at dinner) to call my doctor, just to check in and make sure that there wasn't anything special that I should be doing.

Today, I found enough energy to take a shower and change into new, clean PJs. Now it's Sunday night and I am finally feeling well enough to go into the office tomorrow. So much for a fun weekend...

Hi there.

Remember me? It's been awhile. And unlike the rest of the blogsphere, I don't even have Facebook to blame. Life has just been busy.

Let's see - the holidays were very nice. Baby H loved the fact that Santa came to visit our house and bring us presents. He loved unwrapping everything and saying, "Open gift!" Of course, we had a major windstorm shortly after Christmas that knocked down our ghetto plastic Santa that sits outside. Ever since then, every time H sees Santa, he says, "Uh oh! Santa fall down!" It's too cute. Favorite gifts included Elmo Live (thanks Uncle Bryan!) and all of his Thomas trains (or "choo-choos," as he calls them).

We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house, then went to my parents' house on Christmas morning. As usual, we had Christmas dinner at our house. It was pretty low-key - just the three of us, my mom and dad, and Baby H's aunt, uncle and nephews from Long Island.

Hubby and I celebrated 5 years of marriage on the 27th. My mom and dad watched the baby while we went out to a nice dinner. It was fun.

I would like to say that I stayed up until midnight on New Year's Eve, but I would be lying...

It's crunch-time at work. Our national sales conference is next month and I have been insanely busy with script and presentation development... good times. Can't wait until february 13 - all of the stress will be over and done with and I can catch up on the rest of my work in the last two weeks before the baby is due.

Speaking of the baby, things have been rather uneventful. Next Friday is my last bi-weekly doctor's appointment, then the weekly appointments begin. I don't want to bore anyone with pregnancy details (seriously, do you really care that this baby is so active, I am afraid that he/she is going to jump straight out of my belly, Alien-style?), but I wanted to share a recent photo. Here I am at 33.5 weeks...

My first baby, the pumpkin, is turning 2 on Feburary 9. Where does the time go?

Finally, it's only Tuesday, but I am already looking forward to the weekend. My mom works for State Farm and they have an annual winter carnival with food, games and all sorts of fun stuff. We're taking Baby H on Saturday morning. Fun times.

Have a great week!
